MY FIRST ORGASM*

In the simplest, most genuinely pleasurable state of being, BARRELS & ORGASMS was born. Under a palm tree, skin still wet and salty, the taste of papaya and mango on my mouth and the shadow of my single fin surfboard on my art booklet. Pen to paper, naturally the idea formed. There I was after one of the best surfs of my life, sitting on the sand, I was so satisfied, goosebumps on my skin from the sunshine. It was so simple and so vitalizing to feel that way. So orgasmic. Life feels good. Let’s feel more of it. Live those freeing moments. Intimately connected with what makes us feel so alive. Trasncend what we experience. Do what we love. Honor the arts and our passions in all their forms. Create, imagine, get wild. After all, we have the power to choose. So let’s choose to enjoy it. To not take life so seriously all the time. Laugh and laugh often, a lot. Live life a bit slower. Watch the shimmer of the moon or sun on the ocean. Breath the warmness of coffee in the morning. Because sometimes, the most extraordinary moments are ordinarily beautiful.
